Our team at UCSF, in collaboration with CPMC/Sutter Health is seeking therapists in training for a special research study.
The AME Center is conducting an exciting clinical intervention study at UCSF/Sutter Health, which is funded by the NIH.
We are looking for qualified health counselors (who have at least 1-2 years of clinical training) to help run a brief Zoom motivational interviewing intervention to reduce sugar sweetened beverage consumption. Ideal candidates are graduate trainees in clinical and counseling psychology programs, but we are open to trainees from other disciplines, including nutrition.
The time commitment for this externship opportunity can be flexible, but we ask for a minimum of 16 hours per week, over the course of 6 months, for 2 full days per week of clinical work with the opportunity for a longer commitment if desired. Responsibilities will include both direct face-to-face work and data entry/administrative tasks. Please note that all work will be performed remotely. There is an opportunity for weekly remote supervision of clinical hours. The position would start in Early December (1 month of training in MI, followed by 6 months of clinical work).
