Nancy Adler, PhD
Nancy E. Adler, Ph.D. is the Lisa and John Pritzker Professor of Psychology at the UCSF, and directs the Center for Health and Community. Her research examines health behavior decision-making and social determinants of health. She directed the MacArthur Research Network on SES and Health, and developed a measure of subjective social status. She heads the national program office of the RWJF “Evidence for Action” grants program. A Fellow of APS and APA, she was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Medicine which awarded her the David Rall medal. She served on the Advisory Committee to the Director of NIH, the Report Review Committee of the NRC/NAS and the NAM Council.
